File a free report with Lost Dogs of Wisconsin or Lost Cats of Wisconsin via PetFBI. The volunteers will receive your lost dog or cat report and post to their facepage book. You will also be sent free flyers and tips, or you car create a flyer yourself.
Post on local social media groups. Be sure to include a picture of your dog or cat, location where your dog or cat is lost and a phone number so that people can get in touch with you right away.
Lost Dogs Tips
Set out smelly food (dry won’t work), the dog’s toys and blankets, and your DIRTY laundry or pillowcase.
Make the calls to sheriff and local humane society.
GRILL something outside everyday – extra smelly, like a slab of bacon, to help with a scent trial home
Sign by the road “Lost Dog”–finders drive around looking for owners

Bring the dog or cat to a Vet or shelter and have them scanned to check for a microchip.
Contact your local Animal Control Officer, Animal Shelters, and Neighbors. Not everyone has social media, so it is important to get information out in multiple ways.
